Our neighbour has a big cherry tree, and was nice enough to give us a quite a lot of cherries.
The only problem: maggots in every single one of them...
Now, if you're like our neighbour, you just shrug and are happy about the extra nutrients. Yeah, well, I'm not really fond of creepy crawlies in my cake, but maybe that's just me.
My mum suggested to throw the cherries into hot water for a bit, because, according to her, the maggots would flee the cherries and I could just fish them out.
Tried it, and ended up with well done maggots...still inside the cherries. Oh well.
Thankfully I'm not squeamish, so I just cut open every single cherry and discarded the pit and eventual inhabitants. (Unless of course the cherry looked really unappealing inside or housed an entire family)
Apart from taking ages, it was actually kind of fun, because my kitchen looked like a scene from a horror movie. Red cherry juice splatters everywhere!
I made a yogurt-cup cake (you can find the recipe HERE), which is already half gone, so yay.
Next I'll probably bake something red currant-y, because our garden is full of them! Unless, of course, I eat them all before that. Red currants with sugar~~~~~ *Q*

EAT ME!
Eat me!
Eat me!
Come on. Eat me!
Taste my delicious blend of four melted cheeses.
Annabel made me a Pizza Face underling for lunch today ♥
The four cheeses were Parmesan, Mozzarella, Brie and Gouda.
With pepperoni slices cut to size >w<

I just shamelessly stole the entire post from my sister's tumblr, because I'm lazy. Really lazy.
Although, I made the pizza, which counts for something, right?
I hope you watched that particular episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, if not, shame on you (and your cow)!

Heroes in a Half Shell!
Finally! My super slow Internet wouldn't let me upload the pictures, but finally, a success!
So, nickelodeon has this new (well, it's from 2012, so not THAT new, but still more recent than the 2003 one for example) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, which you should really start watching, if you haven't already, because it's adorable.
One week ago, nick decided to have a Turtles meet and greet at one of the most random stores imaginable (seriously, Turtles in the midst of perfume and mascara?), and of course my sister and I had to go see them.
Now all I can say is...I MET MIKEY AND LEO!!!
And they were so freaking adorable, I wanted to take them home with me!
Once again, I'd like to remind you, that my sister and I are over 20, which is probably one of the reasons why people thought we were working at that store, instead of fangirling about Turtles...
(Although, we weren't the only 'grown ups' there!)

Just look at Mikey's excited, little face!
Awwwwwwwww
Even his fighting stance is made of adorable
And he was so tiny!
Either Leonardo stole Donatello's mask, or Leo and Raph accidentally washed theirs together.
Tiny, adorable Mikey with tall(ish), adorable Leo
We actually came back a second time, because we kept arguing about taking pictures with the Turtles. My sister and I are both camera shy, but the second time, when we were just about the leave, MIKEY CAME TOWARDS ME. So of course I had to take a picture with him! (Also, once again, look how tiny he is! I'm 163cm/5'4", and he's shorter than I am)
Of course, after that I had taken a pictures with the them, my sister had to as well. That there in the middle would be her. She's not usually that green though.
Okay, enough fangirling for now. Just know, that I was super excited that day, and kept grinning all the way home.

Magic Lemonade!
This is Magic Lemonade, also known as red clover lemonade.
Why is it magic, you ask?
Why is it magic, you ask?
Scroll down to see!
Red Clover Lemonade
130 red clovers
640ml (~2 ¾ cup) water
200ml (~ ¾ cup + 1tbsp) lemon juice
honey
Thoroughly wash the clovers.
Then put them in a pot, together with the water, and boil for 8 minutes.
This is the first part of the magic: the red clovers turn into white clovers! (sorry about the bad quality, the steam wouldn't let me take good pictures)
All you need is the juice, so either use a fine mesh sieve or a cheesecloth to get out all the clover parts.
Now you're probably asking yourself, why the liquid is yellow, and not the pretty colour in the first picture.
Because the magic happens now.
Because the magic happens now.
Pour in the lemon juice...
...and watch the juice transform!
yellow + yellow = bright pink! Who knew
Then just add honey (I added quite a bit, because yumm, honey~) and water to taste, and either drink it straight away, or refrigerate.
Have a video of the magic:

And another Easter post!
This time, it's all about the booty.
Yes, Easter booty.
Okay, this is a friendly reminder, that I am 24 and my sister is 29.
And THIS is our Easter haul:

And THIS is our Easter haul:
...yup.
My sister's half (the Nutella and Frozen DVD belong to both of us)
And my half.
I love my grandmas, I really do, but they're ridiculous when it comes to Easter. Every year we ask them to please not buy as much chocolate (I'm trying to lose weight over here!), but it seems like every year it just gets more and more!
Our parents actually listened this time, and instead of chocolate, I got shirts for example! Awesome!
I really don't want to come off as ungrateful, because I am thankful for all that absofudginglutely delicious chocolate...but soon I'll have a heart attack. (Because once I HAVE chocolate, I WILL eat it)

Oh, and if you think 24 and 29 is a bit old for Easter (I'm getting free chocolate and other things, I don't see why that should be a problem), both our parents also still hunt for Easter eggs.
Yeah, we're just awesome like that 8D *puts on shades*

Do you know that awesome Disney paint? The checkered one? Well, I got one this year 8D
See? Checkered paint!! (my sister always has the best ideas, seriously)
Okay, this concludes my last Easter post this year. I think.

Easter presents part 2
I love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and so does my sister. So naturally, I wanted to make something from the new series, and what better to hide than Mikey's zits!
Yes, you read that right, zits.
In this one episode, Mikey puts some rejected mutagen on himself, so it'd make him 'super cool', and then breaks out in zits.

Which in his thought bubble look like this.
So I thought I'd make a few Mikey zits out of latex, so they're squeezable. I've only ever made two teeny tiny shrunken heads out of latex before, so I have actually no idea what I'm doing.
In the end, I only made two zits, but as soon as I figure out how to make okay looking Mikeys, I'll fill the entire Super Cooled jar with them :D

Anyway, looky here:
Little, tiny, sadly broken, Mikey zit.
The jar is way smaller than in the episode (it's actually a Skippy peanut butter jar 8D), but it's what I had lying around, and I think it's cute.
SQUISH
SQUASH
I actually hid the zits inside some actual flowers. You know, like Thumbelina.
Bet my sister is the only person who was hunting for Easter Zits 8D
